SmartBob II

SmartBob® is a cable-based level measurement system that automates manual tape measurements for bins, silos, and tanks. Designed for bulk solids and select liquid applications, SmartBob delivers accurate, on-demand level readings in vessels up to 150 feet tall—without the need for climbing.

As a core component of BinMaster inventory management solutions, SmartBob integrates seamlessly with BinCloud® cloud software and Binventory® on-premise systems to provide real-time inventory visibility from a phone, tablet, or PC.

A generic name for a SmartBob is a weight-and-cable level sensor, bin bob, plumb bob or yo-yo sensor. It is also commonly referred to as an automated tape measure for inventory tracking. 

Reliable Level Measurement for Challenging Materials

Unlike continuous sensors, SmartBob uses a weighted cable that lowers to the material surface and returns precise distance measurements. This makes it ideal for materials that create dust, buildup, or uneven surfaces where non-contact technologies may struggle.

• AO (Analog Output) models with built-in 4–20 mA output
• High-temperature models for extreme environments
• Multiple cable types, probes, and mounting accessories
